Last holiday season, Lighthouse introduced a client-centered approach to the Adopt a Family program that proved to be successful. We’re excited to continue the program!
Adopt a Family will once again provide gift cards and household essentials for our clients. This approach gives our clients a sense of dignity and independence, as they purchase the items that will be best for their household, ensuring that every family can enjoy the season in their own unique way.
Adopt a Family is designed for current Lighthouse clients who are actively working with a case manager.
Check out our registry – updated weekly – to track our needs.
If holiday shopping brings you joy, there will still be opportunities to donate items. At the request of our clients, we’re focusing on common household items that are essential when setting up a new home.
The entire team at Lighthouse is grateful for the community’s response to this appeal.

All items should be new and unwrapped.
Your gift to our Adopt a Family program will help us provide holiday cheer to local families and individuals in need this year. It will also help support their stability and future through Lighthouse.

If you are interested in donating gift cards to our holiday program, please see our Gift Card Registry for our most up-to-date needs. Be sure to write the total balance on the gift card in Sharpie or provide the receipt with the total included.
We will need to confirm all gift card balances before providing donation receipts.
Gift cards can be dropped off during our holiday donation drop-off days (see below) or mailed to us at:

To ensure ample time to distribute the cards and items to our clients – and to leave enough time for our clients to prepare – please have all items to us by Friday, December 5.
Items and donations received after December 5 will be used at a later date, as we have clients moving in and out of our shelter throughout the year.
You can also purchase items from our Amazon Wish List, which will ship directly to us!
Donations for our holiday programs cannot be dropped off at our pantry locations.
