Oakland County is one of the wealthiest counties in the country. But every year more than 164,500 residents of are unable to afford adequate housing, food, or transportation. At least 3,000 families and individuals experience homelessness. 24% are children.
And 150,000 Oakland County residents, including 29,210 children under age 18, are faced with hunger.
