Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a short-term, safe shelter for youths ages 10-17 in crisis. Any youth in the community who has run away, is homeless, or is in an abusive, hostile, or intense situation at home can qualify for program services. This is a voluntary youth program that requires parental consent and participation. Individuals stay at the Sanctuary for up to 3 weeks, they receive round the clock supervision, intensive individual and family counseling, group counseling, and access to peer support. The definition of crisis is wide but the focus of support at the shelter is aimed toward Family Reunification. Shelter services at The Sanctuary include transitional aftercare counseling support. Youth and families can choose to continue with services on a weekly basis for up to three months. The Sanctuary also offers on a limited basis, free community outpatient counseling services for adolescents and young adults ages 10-24.

To contact our team about an intake, please call us at 248-547-2260.
